Group One drivers Azaad Hassan and Troy Muir and rider Kevin Persaud have gained a timely boost regarding sponsorship from the Guyana Oil Company (GuyOil).

Hassan and Muir are a part of Team ER Racing, while Persaud riders under his KP93 banner; they will be competing at the November 10-11 final leg of Caribbean Motor Racing Championships at South Dakota.

A simple presentation was recently done at the company’s branch at Kitty Public Road where the drivers and the riders expressed their gratitude for the support.

“We always look forward to these sponsorships from corporate Guyana. GuyOil has been on board for quite some time and they continue and we really appreciate it,” Hassan stated.

Hassan, who has been dominating the local group one arena in both the Street and Sport Tuner, is looking forward to action with his AE91

“We did a rebuilding on the motor about two weeks ago; went and did some breaking and testing to make sure everything is okay, but unfortunately we have not being doing the times we expected to do so we are back to square one.”

He added, “We need some extra power to be ahead or at least be on the podium like always so we have some more work to do.”

Muir, who will be piloting a Corolla, noted, “Both of us are doing a rebuild for this November and we are hoping to bring a few parts and we come out successful.”

For Super Stock rider Persaud, who is the defending local champion, it is a major boost for his preparation, especially the acquisition of tyres.
