Motorcyclist killed after colliding with cow
A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Wednesday night on the #55 Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice.
Police said Ravindra Nazamoodin was proceeding south along the eastern side of the road on his motorcycle – CF 5667 – when he collided with a dark brown cow.
As a result, Nazamoodin who was wearing a safety helmet, fell on the road and sustained injuries to his head.
He was taken to the Skeldon Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The cow has since been located by police ranks and efforts are being made to find the owner.
