Three technical officers of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) will participate in the Concacaf C Licence programme, scheduled for November 11-17 at the IMG Academy, Florida.

The three- Technical Development Officers Vurlon Mills and Sampson Gilbert, and Youth Development Officer Bryan Joseph- will be among others from the Concacaf Regions participating in the programme aimed at the development of youth players ages 13-19 years old.

According to GFF’s Technical Director, Ian Greenwood, this continuous education is part of the coaching pathway to ensure the highest standard and quality of the player population.

“The engagement in this course is a clear step showing the commitment towards the pursuit of excellence in coach education. It is a key pillar in our national development plan to raise the standard and quality on the grass. The Concacaf C Licence is the next step in the coaching pathway, with the three candidates meeting all the prerequisites of this intense course. The coaches have always shown intense passion and commitment to CPD and improving themselves as coaches.”

This is a natural progression from the D Licence and the coaches, upon their return, will be required to share the knowledge acquired to the increasing population of coaches, who have received their D Licence in Guyana. The officers are scheduled to depart Guyana on Saturday (November 10).
