Farfan and Mendes is the sponsor of the final local Junior Skill Level Squash tournament of the 2018 calendar, which begins on Tuesday (November 13) at the Georgetown Club, Camp Street. Forty-three (43) participants will compete in categories A to H throughout the week.
Top seed Shomari Wiltshire heads up a small group of four, including Gianni Carpenter, Samuel Ince-Carvalhal and Michael Alphonso, while in Category B, Abosaide Cadogan and Kirsten Gomes will vie with the Jonas brothers, Lucas and Ethan, Demetrius DeAbreu, Mohryan Baksh and Nicholas Verwey.
In the lower categories, the emerging stars will no doubt be fighting for the top spot in their respective groups and gaining some valuable experience from playing and watching a packed week of squash.
Play begins at 18:00h on Tuesday and continues each weekday from the same time, before morning matches at the weekend. The Guyana Squash Association’s signature BBQ fundraiser will be held during final matches on Sunday (November 18).
