Buxton and Fruta Conquerors have been booted from the second annual Turbo knockout football competition, with Pouderoyen and Mahaica Determinators progressing to the next round.
In the latest two matches on Monday evening at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Pouderoyen defeated Buxton 3-0 and Determinators needled city side Fruta Conquerors 1-0.
Pouderoyen tapped in an early goal, with Darrell Abrams scoring in the 16th minute. Marvin Griffith (51st) and Ashley Harding (77th) closed out the match with second half strikes.
In the next contest, a Keon Goodings’ 27th minute strike was good enough to secure Determinators’ passage to the next phase of the competition.
The competition continues on Wednesday (November 14) with Georgetown Football Club playing Den Amstel at 18:30h and Camptown coming up against Grove Hi Tech at 20:30h Ministry of Education ground.
