Police are investigating the death of a well-known potter of Mandela Avenue, whose body was found in his home Wednesday morning.
Dorsett Small, 55, was discovered motionless on a couch, two days after he was last seen alive.
The discovery was made by a close friend, Gary Grant who had to scale the fence to gain entry into the yard.
“I was calling him yesterday afternoon and I didn’t get an answer, whole day yesterday I didn’t get an answer.
“I subsequently came here this morning and I had to scale the fence. When I push the door, I called at him, bawled at him, but he just stretch out,” Grant told reporters.
Grant then informed the police and other relatives who quickly rushed to the scene.
No marks of violence were found on the man’s body. It is suspected that he died of natural causes.
Small lived alone in the house and his yard was beautifully decorated with plant pots.
He had recently undergone an eye surgery and had just expanded his business.
The body is at the Lyken Funeral Parlour as police investigate his death.
