A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old labourer of Auchlyne Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
Desmond Seeodat was fatally stabbed on Saturday around 16:00hrs at his hometown.
Police said the teen and the labourer, both intoxicated, were involved in an argument which escalated into a physical fight.
“Shortly after the victim was discovered motionless with a suspected stab wound to the stomach,” the Guyana Police Force said in a statement.
The labourer was rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
