A 45-year-old drug addict was Saturday evening killed by his dealers, after he allegedly stopped purchasing the illicit substance from them.
The addict, known as ‘Buckman’, had no fixed place of abode, police said.
He was stabbed multiple times by the four suspects at Leopold and Lombard Streets, Georgetown around 23:00hrs.
Police said the suspects killed the man because “he and others reportedly stopped buying drugs from them”.
Buckman succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police subsequently apprehended one of the suspects at Cross Street, Werk-en-Rust.
