Boyfriend beat woman to death then buried her in net & plastic – court told

A 27-year-old miner was on Thursday charged with the murder of his girlfriend Patricia David after her decomposed body was found in a shallow grave at Eye Lash Backdam, North West District (NWD).

Trevon Anthony Alleyne appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and was not required to plea to the indictable offence.

It is alleged that he committed the murder sometime between October 1, 2018, And November 15, 2018.

He did not have legal representation and was remanded to prison until February 5, 2019, when the matter will be heard at the Mathew’s Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

According to reports, David’s decomposed body was found in a shallow grave by investigators, wrapped in a net and a sheet of plastic and buried a short distance from a mining camp in which she had stayed with the accused.

According to reports, the couple had an argument and the accused picked up a piece of wood and dealt the woman several lashes about her body and head.

The woman later died due to the injuries and was wrapped and buried by Alleyne.
