At the simple signing ceremony at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre, Director (ag) of the Department of Civil Aviation in Aruba, Anthony Kirchner expressed a desire to see direct flights with Guyana.

“I hope we will get more airlines between Aruba and Guyana and the connectivity because we don’t have a straight flight. We hope that we can arrange, with the help of Aruba Airlines to get a straight flight,” he stated.

Signing the MOU on behalf of Guyana was the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Egbert Field.

He explained that talks for the agreement began when Aruba Airlines joined Guyana’s market.
