Tonica Archer made her presence felt at the Crossfit Paramaribo Throwdown, placing on the podium in neighbouring Suriname last weekend.
The Genesis Fitness Gym athlete placed second in the Scaled (Novice) category, competing against her compatriots and athletes from the host county and French Guiana.
Athletes were required to compete against each other in five workouts at the two-day event.
Eight athletes represented Guyana at the event, namely Archer, Semonica Duke, Delice Adonis, Paul Meusa, Thurston Pearce, Radesh Rameshwar, Timothy McAndrew and Randolph Leitch.
They came from four gyms: Genesis Fitness Express, Elite Fitness, Crossfit 592 and Elite Systems Berbice.
