The police have detained 36 persons for various offences following operations conducted in the North Cummingsburg and Kingston, Georgetown areas on Saturday.
Police in a statement said it conducted several cordon and search operations and detained the persons in connection with possession
Among those in custody are ten undocumented Venezuelans – eight females and two males.
A resident of Rosemary Lane was found in possession of 88grams of cannabis packaged in small-sized ziplock bags; two motorcycles and a flat screen television suspected to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained.
The operations were spearheaded by two Senior Superintendents and involved 108 ranks and lasted for more than three hours.
