Ansa McAl Trading, through its Smalta and iCool brands, has come out in support of the three-day KFC Goodwill football tournament, which kicks off on Saturday (December 15) at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

At a simple presentation ceremony on Wednesday, Non-Alcoholic Brand Manager, Errol Nelson, told the gathering the company quickly embraced the venture since it aligns with its quest to foster social development and more so, bring a shift in focus in year-end football to now on youths.

Nelson appealed to patrons to come out and not just support their products, but be motivators to the lads on the field.

Additionally, Petra Organisation’s Co-Director Troy Mendonca expressed immense gratitude for the continued support of Ansa McAl Trading, which helps boost their endeavours to provide continuous development for youth football.

Mendonca further stated the tournament gives top local school teams a chance to test their mettle against foreign teams.

The tournament features four teams: 2016 Trinidad and Tobago South Zone School champs, Shiva Boys Hindu College, Annai Secondary, Annandale Secondary and Christianburg Wismar Secondary, the latter two would have recently topped the GuyOil School League.

On December 18, Christianburg and Annai will do battle, followed by Shiva Boys and Annandale, while the final day of action, December 22, the Annandale and Annai game precedes the Trinis clash with the lads from Linden.

All matches will be played at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, and patrons will be charged G$500 for entry.
