A 37-year-old resident of Westminster, La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, is in police custody after he was allegedly caught with 12 pounds of cannabis in the trunk of a car.
Police Headquarters noted that an intelligence-led operation which was coordinated by a Senior Officer at around 20:20hrs on Thursday night, intercepted a Toyota Allion Motorcar on Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
Police ranks searched the vehicle and found the ten sealed parcels of cannabis in the trunk.
The driver is being processed for court.
