Essequibo youth stabbed to death, police hunting drinking partner
Dead: Sherwin Melville
Police are hunting for a 19 year old labourer of Swan, Soesdyke/Linden Highway who goes by the alias ‘Ralph’ for the murder of 23 year old Shervin Melville.
According to the police, Melville of Capoey Lake, Essequibo Coast was found motionless with a knife stuck in the neck and abrasions on his right arm and left side upper chest at about 05:30hrs on Monday at his home.
He was discovered by an in –law.
Police said Melville had a misunderstanding with ‘Ralph’ whilst imbibing on Sunday night.
The body is at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post mortem.
