Agricola man shot dead, friend in serious condition

An angry man pulled out his weapon and fired several shots Thursday night at Second Street Agricola, East Bank Demerara killing 34-year-old Kaycee Da Silva and wounding his friend Seon Bobb, 24.

Police said that the suspect was involved in a fight during which Da Silva and Bobb laughed at him, however, this reportedly infuriated the suspect who was given a handgun by a male sibling and he allegedly discharged the weapon indiscriminately at the victims.

The friends were rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Hospital; Da Silva was pronounced dead on arrival whilst Bobb was treated and transferred to the GPHC.

His condition is said to be stable.

The suspects, known as “Home Alone” and “Gudgie”, are being sought. The incident occurred at approximately 08:30hrs.
