Police are hunting for a male whose name was given as “Kartel” aka “Eggie” of Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden for allegedly stabbing two brothers.
According to a police report, 25-year-old Mathew Clarke and 33-year-old Quammie Clarke of Lot 153, Block 22, Wismar, Linden, were at a shop with five other friends when the suspect lit a firecracker and threw it in their direction.
As a result, the brothers and another friend, Maitek Duccun, approached “Kartel” to warn him about his behaviour. However, a scuffle ensued between “Kartel” and Duccun.
Police investigations revealed that “Kartel” left the location but later returned about 23:00hrs and stabbed the brothers to their hands, hip and back with a knife.
Mathew and Quammie were taken by public spirited citizens to the Mackenzie Public Hospital where their conditions are listed as stable.
