A 38-year-old man was on early Sunday morning executed in front of the Adventure Suits Hotel at Foreshaw Street, Queenstown, Georgetown at around 4am.
Dead is Sean Allister O’Brien Greene of Alberttown and # 78 Village, Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice.
Police Headquarters said he was standing in front of the hotel with others, when persons, who are unknown at this time, approached and discharged rounds at him and fled the scene.
He received multiple gunshot wounds, the police said.
According to reports, the suspect pumped over 20 bullets at the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are continuing their investigations and no arrests have been made at this time.
