Alberttown man dies under questionable circumstances

Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old man of Fourth Street, Alberttown, Georgetown who died at the Georgetown Public Hospital at around 10:30hrs on Sunday.

Police said Selwyn Bobb was rushed to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency unit on Sunday morning by his fiancée as he was vomiting uncontrollably.

It is alleged that while receiving medical attention, Bobb told doctors at the hospital that he ingested a Carbon Tablet.

News Room understands that his fiance told investigators that Bobb was recently fired by a company located at Industrial Site, East  Bank Demerara on December 21, 2018, and he became depressed since.

News Room understands that the Police did not find any marks of violence on his body, however, an investigation is ongoing.
