Increased Police patrols for Berbice after serious crimes
The Guyana Police Force Monday said it was concerned about several recent incidents of serious crimes in Berbice and new measures to curb the trend include increased mobile patrols.
On Monday, Police Commissioner Mr. Leslie James and Deputy Commissioners Lyndon Alves, Maxine Graham and Nigel Hoppie met with Commander ‘B’ Division, Assistant Commissioner Paul Langevine and his Administration team. The Commissioner received a firsthand view of what is happening in Berbice.
“As such, several initiatives and strategies, which include increased patrols…and intelligence-led operations would be implemented immediately,” Police headquarters stated.
Residents in Berbice have complained about the increase in crime in the area over the past month.
