A 40-year-old taxi driver appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus Tuesday, accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
Rishi Seepersaud pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on September 8, 2018, on the East Bank of Demerara he sexually assaulted a child under the age of 16.
Seepersaud of Station Street, Kitty was represented by Attorney-at-law Darren Wade.
He was released on $100,000 bail and the matter is adjourned to January 28, 2019.
It is alleged that the child was a passenger in Seepersaud’s car when he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
