Police are on the hunt for a Pike Street, Sophia man who allegedly stabbed a 48-year-old businessman to death at ‘D’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown Sunday.
Dead is Godfrey Phillip, a contractor/businessman. Police Headquarters revealed that the suspect and his wife were involved in an argument when Phillip intervened at around 23:45hrs.
Police said that the suspect became enraged, whipped out a knife and allegedly stabbed Phillip in the abdomen.
The businessman was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital in an unconscious state and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect fled the scene and Police investigations are ongoing.
