The Principal of School of the Nations, Dr Brian O’ Toole is at a city hospital nursing gunshot wounds to both arms after person or persons fired shots at his Bel Air residence.

News Room understands that Dr O’Toole is in a stable condition.

It is unclear at this time if the shooting is related to the recent violent threats made against the private school.

News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.

The Directors of the school held an emergency meeting with parents Sunday following a second violent threat on social media to injure students and teachers.

As such, the school beefed up its security by employing armed security to man the premises.

A student, who returned to Guyana from the US, was expelled last week after he threatened to “shoot up” the school; he later claimed that he was joking, but the school took his threats seriously and expelled him.
