Twenty wickets tumbled on day one of the sixth round Professional Cricket League (PCL) game between Guyana Jaguars and Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Queen’s Park Oval on Thursday.

Seamer Keemo Paul took 3-26 from 10 overs and Clinton Pestano 3-37 from 8.4 overs as Red Force were skittled out 108 in just 38.4 overs with Tion Webster’s 19 being the highest. Jason Mohammed and Imran Khan made 17 each.

Raymon Reifer (2-20) and Romario Shepherd (2-23) duly backed up the efforts of Paul and Pestano.

In reply, Jaguars, looking for their fifth win this season, were bowled out for 150, earning a precious lead of 42. Jaguars were 117-9 before Paul scored all 33 runs of a last wicket partnership with Gudakesh Motie to give them a handy lead.

Paul ended on 66 not out off 36 balls, smashing 10 fours and three consecutive sixes off Khan. Shepherd made 23 and Chandrapaul Hemraj 22.

Leg-spinner Khan took 3-22, while there were two apiece for Ravi Rampaul, Anderson Phillips and Odean Smith. Red Force, batting a second time, are 13-0.
