AWESOME COPYRIGHT officials, with help from the police, cracked down on Port of Spain CD vendors seizing five carts loaded with pirated CDs, including songs for Carnival 2019.

Awesome’s chief executive officer, Patrice Buckradee, who was at yesterday’s exercise, explained that the offences committed were under Section 41 of the Trinidad and Tobago Copyright Act— “a person commits an offence when, without the licence, makes for sale, imports or whether you posses it in the course of business”. (Trinidad Express)
