Four teams are left standing in the 2019 West Demerara/East Bank Demerara Guinness Greatest of the Streets Championship, which continued on Wednesday evening at the Pouderoyen tarmac.

This Friday it will be Brothers United battling Ballers Empire, then three-time defending champions Showstoppers clashing with Up-Top Bosses to see who will have the opportunity to vie for championship honours.

The quarter-final action saw Up-Top stay afloat over Jetty, winning 2-1 with Amaniki Buntin (14th) and Dellon Lanferman (26th) pulling their team from behind after McKay Smith opened the scores in the 8th minute.

Brothers United held steady to steal a 1-0 win on penalty kicks after their bout with Bagotstown Warriors was a goalless stalemate after extra time. It was a similar occurrence for Ballers Empire, who defeated 2018 runners-up ESPN 2-0 on the spots kicks after another goalless match.

The champs were clinical in their 3-0 whopping of West Side Ballers.  Stephon Jupiter (26th) and Marvin Josiah in the 28th with a Guinness Goal did the damage.

There will be also be plate play-offs on Friday, as ESPN will tackle Bagotstown, followed by West Side Ballers against Jetty.

The championship winners will pocket $500,000, while second takes home half that amount. Third and fourth will collect $200,000 and $100,000 respectively.
