Victim stabbed during alleged robbery, suspect remanded
Eon Vyphius, who allegedly stabbed a man during the course of a robbery, was remanded to prison Friday by Magistrate Leron Daly.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on February 12, 2019, at Hunter Street, Albouystown, while being armed with a sharp instrument, he robbed Julian Alfred of a handbag with items totalling $26,000.
Police Prosecutor Christopher Morris opposed to Vyphuis being released on bail since the victim is still hospitalized for stab wounds he received to the abdomen.
He was remanded to prison until March 8, 2019.
