Student charged for rape of school girl
An 18-year-old student appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court Friday charged with raping a 14-year-old school girl.
Tevin Fraser appeared before Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty and was not required to plea to the indictable charge. The matter was held in camera.
It is alleged that on March 1, 2018, at Georgetown, Fraser raped the girl. He was released on $150,000 bail and will return to court later this month.
According to reports, both parties are known to each other.
It is alleged that on the day in question Fraser made sexual advances towards the teen; he forced himself on her and raped her, the court heard.
The teen told her parents and the matter was reported to the police.
