The Central Police Station in New Amsterdam Berbice was reportedly burglarized sometime on Thursday evening.
According to sources, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) was the area that was broken into and ransacked.
News Room was reliably informed that the perpetrators gained access by breaking a lock to one of the doors.
A Police source related that two cameras and several files were removed from the building, however, senior police officers remain tight-lipped on the incident and the Public Relations Department of the Force has refused to comment on the burglary.
