A 49-year-old pork knocker was on Monday charged with the murder of a mother of five who he had been stalking for months.

Raymond O’Selmo aka Raymond Ali called “Godie man” of Lot 2736 North Ruimveldt, Georgetown on Monday afternoon appeared Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer to the charge that he murdered Nadina Kalamadeen of North Sophia, Greater Georgetown.

He was not required to plea to the charge.

He was remanded to prison until March 18, 2019.

Kalamadeen was stabbed to death a short distance away from her home on the evening of February 27.

On the day of the incident, it is alleged that the man entered her yard and Kalamadeen repeatedly asked him to leave but he refused. Eventually, the two left together and he reportedly whipped out a knife and stabbed her about her body.

The woman’s family told the News Room that they have no knowledge of the man except that he stalked Kalamadeen for months in pursuit of a relationship.

Following the incident, the suspect was arrested by public spirited persons in the village and handed over to the Police.
