Team Mohamed’s new GT-R for rescheduled Drag Meet

The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) has been forced to once again reschedule the first round of the Drag Racing Championship, pushing it back by a week. Set to take place on March 17, the event would now be held on March 24 at South Dakota Circuit.

“After considering and discussing several factors, the GMR&SC Executive body has made the decision to further postpone the drag race meet, which was set for March 17^th, 2019. The new date for this event will now be March 24^th,” the GMR&SC said in a statement on Thursday.

It added: “We do regret and sincerely apologise to all spectators and competitors for any inconvenience that this may incur.”

“However, we can assure spectators that they will be in for a treat as several high powered cars will be making their drag racing debut in Guyana on this date, including the Second Generation RX-7 of Peter Daby, the V8 powered Mitsubishi Starion of Krishna Jettoo and the long rumored ex-Ekanoo Racing Nissan GT-R, now acquired by Team Mohamed’s.”
