A driver attached to the Region Ten Democratic Council is seriously injured after he lost control of a motor vehicle on the Kwakwani/Ituni trail Wednesday morning.
According to information reaching the News Room, Travis Bingo was travelling to Kwakwani when he lost control of the vehicle which toppled several times before coming to a halt after hitting trees along the road.
He appeared to have been flung from the vehicle.
One eyewitness told the News Room that Bingo suffered back injuries.
Bingo was taken to the Ituni Health Centre where an ambulance is expected to transfer him to the Linden Hospital.
When contacted by News Room, the Deputy Regional Executive Officer confirmed the incident and noted that a vehicle is being dispatched to the scene to offer assistance.
