Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred at ‘Ghetto Flex Bar’ Albouystown, Georgetown on Thursday afternoon during Phagwah celebrations.
Police said a 15-year-old of Lot 26 Durban Street, Wortmanville was at the location playing Phagwah when he was shot to the right side shoulder between 16:30hrs and 17:00 hrs.
Initial investigations revealed that there was an argument between two males at the bar when they pulled out their guns and pointed at each other. Upon noticing what had occurred, the teen reportedly jumped over the counter and a gunshot rang out.
It was not long before the lad felt a burning to his right side shoulder and saw blood.
He was taken to Georgetown Public Hospital by public-spirited citizens where he is said to be in a stable condition.
No arrests were made.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
