NSC onboard with GTTA to stage Senior Caribbean Championship

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has hopped onboard with the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), which will host the 61st Senior Caribbean Table Tennis Championship from Saturday (March 23) at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

Director of Sports Christopher Jones on Friday presented the Commission’s contribution to GTTA President, Godfrey Munroe.

The event, which will conclude on March 31, will also feature the Pan Am Qualification event with teams from Guyana, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Barbados, St. Vincent, St. Kitts, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Dominican Republic, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Suriname, French Guiana and Haiti set to compete.

“The NSC wishes the best of luck to all teams participating and urges the public to come out and support our athletes as they represent Guyana to their best ability,” the NSC said in a statement.
