Police are investigating the death of a Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara man who was struck down by a motor car which sped away.
Dead is 50-year-old Peter Billison of Lot 17 Soesdyke.
The incident occurred on Sunday at about 19:15hrs on the Timehri Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
Police stated that Billison, was proceeding north along the western side roadway on his bicycle when he was struck down from behind by the motor car.
The man was picked up in an unconscious condition by public-spirited persons and taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is at Lyken’s Funeral home awaiting a post mortem examination.
