WSUPER50: Matthews, Dottin, Ramharack and Knight cop awards

Hayley Matthews won two of the top prizes awarded at the prize-giving ceremony of the 2019 Colonial Medical Insurance Women’s Super50 Cup.

Hayley Matthews (left)- Most Wickets

Matthews finished the tournament as the leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets and the top all-rounder with 233 runs and 17 wickets.

Deandra Dottin (left)- Most Runs

Other winners on the night were Deandra Dottin of Barbados, who copped the award for most runs, finishing with 299 runs and eight wickets for her bowling efforts. Trinidad and Tobago’s Karishma Ramharack took the most catches, totalling six.

Kycia Knight (left)- Most Dismissals

Barbados’ wicket-keeper Kycia Knight had the most dismissals with seven (five catches and two stumpings).

Barbados finished the tournament five points clear of Trinidad and Tobago, by virtue of winning their Round Five clash, as both teams entered this round, one point apart. Deandra Dottin, with a blistering 73 runs and 6-43, ensured her team lifted the title for a second consecutive year.

Karishma Ramharack (left)- Most Catches

The Cricket West Indies Women’s T20 Blaze starts on Thursday, March, 28 from 09:00h, all three matches will be played at the National Stadium in Providence.
