Couple killed in Linden accident

A young nurse and her boyfriend died on the spot in a horrific accident late Monday night at Toucan Drive Amelia’s Ward, Linden in Region 10.

Dead are 20-year-old Sheshyka Ettienne, who was a registered nurse and 24-year-old Oneil Deyounge, a driver – they were both employed at the McKenzie Hospital.

News Room understands that the couple were on a motorcycle when they collided with a Jeep, PSS 8812 that was heading in the town area at around 8:30 pm.

Police Headquarters said that the driver of the Jeep made a sudden right turn into the path of the motorcyclist who was proceeding in the opposite direction.

The driver of the motorcycle, on seeing this, applied brakes and lost control of his motorcycle when he and his girlfriend fell onto the roadway and slid under the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep has been identified as  38-year -old Dane Halt of Richmond Hill McKenzie Linden. He is in police custody.
