Royston Wong, a businessman of Montrose, East Coast Demerara on March 23, 2019, donated a brand new steel door to the Sparendaam Police Station which will be used for the Lock-up, Police Headquarters said in a statement Monday.
The door, which was received by the Officer-in-Charge of No. 2 Sub-Division (‘C’ Division), Deputy Superintendent Ravindra Stanley, was also installed by the businessman on the said day.
According to the Police, Wong has been making constant donations to the Sparendaam Police Station; he previously donated a water pump and a black water tank to the said station.
Deputy Superintendent, Ravindra Stanley thanked the businessman for the timely donations and urged the ranks to take good care of the items.
