Minibus conductor who stabbed teen jailed for four months

A 21-year-old route 40 Minibus conductor, Miguel Isaac, was on Friday sentenced to four months imprisonment for stabbing a 17-year-old school boy to the neck with scissors in 2017.

Isaac of Garnett Street, Kitty was on trial before Magistrate Annette Singh at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

On Friday, Isaac was found guilty of the charge which read that on November 9, 2017, at Stabroek Market, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Odaffi Taylor to cause him grievous bodily harm.

According to reports on the day in question, Taylor was standing on the Kitty Bus Park awaiting transportation when he was prevented from entering the minibus that Isaac was working.

An argument ensued and Isaac allegedly stabbed the teen to the neck with the scissors.
