A member of the Guyana Police Force’s Special Constabulary was on Friday arrested after he was found with a quantity of illegal drugs at Success Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
A statement from the police force said the rank was noticed by Cops on a mobile patrol at about 19:00hrs behaving in a suspicious manner. Upon being approached, he stopped and dropped a bag.
The bag was retrieved and found to contain three parcels of cannabis which weighed 2.2kg.
The Special Constabulary who is stationed on the East Coast of Demerara and resides in Sophia, ECD., is in custody pending charges.
