Police are investigating an accident which has left a 28-year-old teacher of Welcome Street, Rosignol, West Bank Berbice (WBB) dead.
Police said Joel Wills was proceeding west along the southern carriageway of the No.1 Road, Corentyne, Berbice on motorcycle CH1028 at about 19:30hrs on Saturday when he collided with the rear of an unknown vehicle.
He was taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital in an unconscious condition by the police and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is presently at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post mortem.
The police said a further update on the progress of the investigation will follow.
