A 20-year-old man is in Police custody for allegedly stabbing his 40-year-old stepfather to death in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police Headquarters revealed that Eon ‘Shortman’ Williams of Grant Bethany, Lower Pomeroon (Region Two) was stabbed to his right side abdomen during an argument with the suspect at his home.
According to the Police, the suspect, Williams and a cousin were consuming alcohol when an argument ensued between the suspect and the cousin.
Williams, who was a farmer, intervened by hitting his stepson on his hand with an object.
Police said that the suspect then armed himself with a knife and stabbed Williams who was pronounced dead on arrival at the Charity hospital.
