Gold miner stabbed to death, Police hunt for ‘Tattoo Nose’

Police are on the hunt for a man known as ‘Tattoo Nose’ who allegedly stabbed a 44-year-old gold miner to death on Thursday night.

Police Headquarters revealed that Leavern Daniels of Princeville Village, Mahdia, was imbibing with some friends in the village when ‘Tattoo Nose’ asked to join them but Daniels told him no.

It is alleged that ‘Tattoo Nose’ became annoyed and threatened to kill Daniels before leaving.

Police said that Daniels was later walking back to his camp when he was attacked and stabbed in the chest by the suspect at around 23:45hrs.

Daniels was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahdia Hospital; the body is presently at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
