Two-time Caribbean Group Four Champion Kristian Jeffrey will sport the Torginol Paints brand for the entire year as he competes in the Caribbean and possibly Europe. The two sides made the partnership public on Friday at GT Motorsports ahead of Saturday’s Georgetown Grand Prix.

Torginol had first supported the ace driver with his SR3 Radical last November.

With open arms, Production Manager Fenton Persaud welcomed Jeffrey to the Torginol family and expressed, “Torginol has been associated with motor racing over a number of years, and once again this year we are here to sponsor Kristian Jeffrey. We are proud to do that and we wish him all the success for this race and those in the future”.

The 29-year-old, sporting a bright grin, expressed gratitude to Torginol Paints for the overwhelming support and vowed to represented the best paint in the country to peak of his prowess while he “paints the track with Torginol”.

His first test will be against the menacing and seasoned Jamaican karter Colin Daley Jr. in the 125cc Senior at Saturday’s event at GT Motorsports.

“We know Colin; I got him in December and he is coming back with vengeance against me, but the sport is all about competition. I think he will go really hard at me and I am prepared and ready to come on board with Torginol and we are going for the win,” Jeffrey said.

Notably, the sponsorship also covers his Mitsubishi Evolution and Radical, both of which he will use to compete at the November race meet at South Dakota.

Prior to that meet, Jeffrey explained that the support extends to him travelling to the usual Caribbean motor racing destinations in Jamaica and Barbados, where he wants to “paint the Caribbean with Torginol.”

Regarding travel further abroad, Jeffrey said, “I really can’t commit to a championship in Europe this year. The championship already started and we have about nine rounds but Radical gave me an offer to attend a few rounds and I am picking and choosing with my work schedule. I am thinking of attending Silverstone [in England] and Circuit de Spa [in Belgium] which are both F1 tracks.”

Torginol Paints Inc., a member of the Continental Group of Companies, was incorporated in 1960 and manufactures a diversified range of paint and paint-related products for every surface.

The products, branded under Torga and Arbo brand names, carry a wide range of quality items covering decorative, industrial, commercial, furniture and other finishes.
