Several cars damaged in ECD hotel parking lot following accident


Seven parked cars sustained severe damages following an accident on the Liliendaal East Coast Demerara public road early Monday.

The cars were parked at the Holiday Inn Hotel; it is alleged that a white Toyota Corolla, PKK 2237 swerved off the road and crashed into the vehicles.

The registration on the car was displayed on the windscreen and revealed that the car belongs to a Ramon Allicock.

The News Room understands that the parked vehicles were rentals being used by Spanish speaking persons who are guests at the hotel.

At the scene, a young man who did not want to be named told the News Room that a security guard was checking on the generator at the back of the hotel when he heard a loud sound.

Upon checking he saw there was the collision with the vehicles and the driver was lying in the car injured.

The News Room has been unable to confirm the state of the driver at this time.
