The Amerindian village of Kamarang in Region 7 (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) awoke in shock Friday morning after it was discovered that a youth from the village was killed, with his bloodied body left in the open.
The dead man was identified as 30-year-old Godrell Joseph. He was the father of one and worked as a gold miner.
According to reports, his body was discovered around 02:00 hrs.
No arrest has been made so far. Police investigations are ongoing.
