First Vice-President of the Guyana Football Federation, Brigadier (Ret) Bruce Lovell, on Tuesday met with the President of the Denmark Football Association, Mr. Jesper Moller, in Paris, France, on the sidelines of the 69th FIFA Congress to discuss areas of cooperation between the two football bodies.

The discussions centered on Denmark providing assistance to the GFF in the areas of coaching and refereeing education, infrastructure development, governance and football administration, and girls and women development, and will lead to the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding for which the Danish President will visit Guyana in October this year to sign.

The meeting was done within the framework of UEFA Assist programme, which was launched in 2017, where UEFA member associations provide assistance to other confederations and member associations to develop and strengthen football across the globe.

The GFF’s First Vice-President is representing President Wayne Forde at the FIFA Congress; Forde remained in Guyana to streamline the national team preparation for the Concacaf Gold Cup debut later this month.
