Guyana Jaguars defeated North Tobago by 26 runs to win the inaugural four-team UDeCOTT T10 International Cricket Tournament at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba on Sunday evening.

Sent in to bat first, Jaguars racked up 130-7 from the allotted 10 overs, and then held North Tobago to 104-5 when the overs finished.

Christopher Barnwell topscored for Guyana with 44, while Chandrapaul Hemraj made 27, Anthony Bramble 25 and Trevon Griffith 18. Bowling for North Tobago, Sunil Narine took three wickets and Rayad Emrit two.

North Tobago then raced to 58 without loss by the halfway stage of the innings, but then slipped to 75-2 when both openers Narine (44) and Mario Belcon (22) were dismissed by Romario Shepherd.

Kieron Pollard then struck 25, but Keemo Paul picked up two wickets as North Tobago fell way short of the target.
