A 57-year-old garbage collector was on Monday sentenced to one-year imprisonment for breaking into a woman’s home and stealing a gas bottle.

Aubrey Price of Princes Street, Lodge appeared before City Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court charged with three counts of breaking and entering.

Price confessed that on February 15, 2019 at Princes Street Lodge, he broke and entered the home of Marsha Baird and stole a gas bottle valued $6,000.

He sentenced to one-year imprisonment for this charge; the gas bottle was found in his house.

Price was also charged breaking into Baird’s home and stealing $392,000 worth in items on the same day in question. Price pleaded not guilty to this charge.

He also denied that between June 11-12, 2019 at Princes Street, he broke and entered the storage bond of Sharron Nurse and stole four cases of banks beer valued $36,000.  He was remanded to prison until June 24, 2019, on the two charges.
