Police issue wanted bulletin in Boxing Day Berbice murder

The Police have issued a wanted bulletin for 22-year-old Samuel Chase.

Police headquarters Friday said he is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Karl McDonald called “Calic” on Boxing Day last year at High Dam Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice.

Chase’s last known address is Mai-Mai Dam, Angoy’s Avenue.

McDonald was chopped to his abdomen during a fight over a girl.

His mother, Lorraine Mc Donald, was reported as saying one of her nephews had a relationship with the suspect’s ex-lover and as a result, there was an argument between the two on Christmas Night.

The following night, the saw Mrs McDonald’s nephew with the girl and he fired a chop, but the nephew ran away.

Karl McDonald intervened and reportedly shoved the suspect to the chest after which he was chopped to the abdomen, sending him in a nearby trench.

He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed.
